In this entry I’m featuring Mobile Home Study (1976), by architect James Lambeth (1942-2003). I don’t have too much to say about this work, as all I have seen of it comes from the book Sundancing: The Art and Architecture of James Lambeth, and I am showing the two pages here.
The description reads:
This research project for Reynolds Aluminum, investigates the optimum form and orientation of mobile homes. Hinged walls and roof overhangs provide control of interior solar penetration. The reflective hinged end walls are conceptually the same as those in the earlier Solar Module Cabins [1974].
